Peter Borla, CPA, MBA

Peter Borla is a Financial Representative with New England Financial Group, LLC, an organization that has been in West Hartford, CT for over 100 years. Peter focuses on understanding each client’s unique situation, and then develops a strategy to help his clients meet his or her objectives based on Peter’s vast background and education. He has been in the financial services industry for 15 years. Peter is a CPA and spent over nine years in Big 4 public accounting firms focused on financial services companies as well as small to large manufacturing, retail, and healthcare companies.

 

Since leaving public accounting, Peter has held various executive positions in some of the largest insurance companies in Connecticut including CIGNA, MetLife and Hartford Life. He made the decision to become a Financial Representative late in 2008 after carefully studying the industry for several years, building a plan for longevity, and acting on his desire to have a direct and positive impact on individuals and business owners.

 

He obtained his MBA from the University of Connecticut in 2003 where he studied Personal Financial Planning as part of his curriculum, and he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 1994. He is also a member of the AICPA and the CSCPA.

 

Peter and his wife, Tonya, are very active in their local community through volunteerism, coaching youth sports, being a lector at church, and participating in local charity events.
