Fred Swietek is a Registered Representative with New England Securities and is affiliated with New England Financial Group, LLC headquartered in West Hartford, Connecticut (www.nefghartford.com). After graduating from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, Fred worked for Aetna and then ING for more than three decades. He held various technical and managerial positions as a writer, corporate trainer, marketing account administrator, and relationship manager.

Having worked in the financial services industry his entire career, moving into personal retirement planning was a natural transition for Fred. In his current role, Fred helps clients to build and protect their wealth, and then transfer that wealth to their heirs. Having recently retired from corporate life, Fred has a special interest in working with those transitioning from the working/accumulation to the retirement/income stage of their lives. 
 
He also helps with college funding, life and long term care insurance needs and, as an Investment Advisor Representative, can provide guidance on separately managed accounts (individually owned investment portfolios, managed continuously by independent professional money managers).
 
Fred grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut and currently resides there with his wife Libby (a Medical Technologist), their two children Karen (a Tufts University student) and Mike (a UConn student), his Mom Alice (87 years young), and their mini-schnauzer Rocky. When not working or spending time with family and friends, Fred enjoys playing golf. His Dad taught him the sport at an early age and he maintains the passion having played on a H.S. state championship team and in college. Fred also enjoys other sports and is an avid UConn Huskies fan, attending as many football and basketball games as possible with his son Mike.
